| This is the place - the place where it began. The YMCA "HOUSE" experiment w/ Marian Hamil & Terry Davies had come to an end. Big John - youth centered activities to continue returned to his family church, connected with Jim Rice & Marshal Mclagan and renewed his acquaintance with the "Y" - as a community support structure. The church (Marg Dempsey & Rev. Bev Johnson) gave john the key to the church basement and encouraged that community youth work continue. This is " The Basement Coffee House - Roxboro United Church (RUC). |
