| The Roxboro children's summer parks program had been discontinued due to cuts in municipal spending. With the help of a Federal Government Summer Youth Employment Grant called Opportunities for Youth, NSYS was able to reopen the program and not only provide recreation for children but valuable training for all the teenagers who volunteered to help.
