One of the major
objectives of the program is to help residents

Among the activities the week includes
area recycling drive in the parking lot of the
Sunnybrooke Shopping Centre Saturday, May 17, from 1 p.m.
to 4 p.m., When bottles and tin cans will be accepted.
All cans must have ends cut out and paper labels removed.
From 8 p.m. to midnight the same day
the Woodlands Disco will feature live music by Jade at
the Woodlands Community, Centre. Admission is either six
returnable bottles or a small cash amount - beer bottles
will not be accepted.
On Sunday, May 18, from 1 p.m. to 3
p.m., registration for the garbage pick-up will take
place at the Woodlands Community Centre.
Children from five year of age and up
can participate in collecting trash from the 'Woodlands
and Forest Village areas.
Garbage bags will be available at
registration. But house hold garbage is not acceptable.
The pick-up will take place from May 18 to May 24.
The following events will take place at
the Woodlands Community Centre:
Prizes will be handed out Saturday, May
24, at 1 p.m. to the two top collectors in each age group
for the garbage pickup. All prizes have been donated by
local merchants and the Woodlands Youth Project.
At 2 p.m. the same day Mona Adalman
will show a slide presentation on ecological happenings
in Montreal. This will focus upon such areas as
demolition, air pollution, gardening, and bicycling. A
short discussion will follow.
