COMMENTARY

Strengths and Weaknesses: The strength of this technique is that it simply captures the pros and cons of a situation and tries to quantify the assessments of the group.

The weakness is that a numerical value system does not necessarily lead to the correct decision. It is suggested that the totaling methods be used to indicate a general direction for the decision but not actually be the sole basis for the decision itself.
