Livorno and Pisa  
      To get to the Tower at Pisa we docked at Livorno and took a local bus 30 kms to Pisa. We could have taken an organized tour but Carol and I preferred the adventure of getting there on our own.

 As we waited for the bus, we met our dinner companions Kris and Asha. We enjoyed very much their company throughout the trip.
     

Even from a distance it is evident that the Tower is in serious need of repair.

As we got closer, you could see that the situation is in fact quite bad. The tower could fall at any time. No tower - no tourism.
