In August 2005, Carol and I were invited to attend the wedding to Joe and Tracy Taylor. 
I had been doing a webpage for Joe who had gone to New York to make his fortune as a singer, songwriter, artist. We know his parents so the whole thing made sense.

We stayed in brother-in-law Butch's apartment - not fat from time square. 
This would be my 3rd or 4th trip to the city and I can honestly say the
place started to make some sense to me. 

One Friday night the festivities started with me meeting the male side of the party at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.  Carol met the hens and after our segregated activities, we all met up at another bar when we got to know who's who.

Aside from the wedding it is worth noting that the temperature that weekend hit 105 F. 
This extreme caused some thunder showers that were worth writing home about.
