Remember when your parents or grandparents said they only had an 8th grade education and you thought how smart you were? Well think again.  Could any of us have passed the following 1895 - 8th grade exam?

The following was taken from the original document on file at the Smokey Valley Genealogical Society and Library in Salina, KS, and reprinted by the Salina Journal.

From the onset of the 21st Millennium, we were all enthralled with how much knowledge civilization was gaining - day-by-day-by-day.  But, is anyone keeping track of how much Knowledge is being lost?

Notice that the exam below took approximately SIX HOURS to complete. This gives a whole new meaning to the meaning to the words "he only had an 8th grade education", doesn't it!
