Janet, I wholeheartedly endorse John Salvis for a "Customer Service" Award under the MEDT Employee Recognition Program.

I had the pleasure of meeting John when I went to attend a course he was giving re: Community Economic Profile training on April 15, 1999. The training was excellent. John never made one feel that a question was insignificant. He was patient and understanding throughout the day.

Once I came back to the London office, if I ran into any glitches or had a query with the community profiles, I would simply call John or e-mail him. His response was always immediate and thorough.

John's feedback and attitude epitomizes what customer service is all about.

Janet, I support your nomination of John Salvis for a "Customer Service" award under the MEDT Employee Recognition Program.

John was an invaluable resource to our committee in the development of the lotus notes version of our community profiles. He was instrumental in determining the overall scope and design of the database and was in constant contact with committee members regarding his progress with the project in order to obtain our feedback. He understood our needs and was able to translate them into a workable electronic system. John demonstrated superior leadership skills in both the development of the system and with the Ministry approval process. He always had time for our questions and was always willing to assist us in using the database.

There is no question that John should be recognized for his efforts on this project.

Janet, in the transition of community profiles from the old format into the Lotus Notes format, I found John Salvis to be of tremendous help to me. He is always willing to help in resolving problems that I experience in a consistent and professional manner and always willing to go that "extra mile", never considering a particular problem too small or insignificant.
