Janet, I would like to support your nomination of John Salvis for his contribution in creating the electronic version of our Community Profile program.

John exhibited a very high level of leadership in helping our committee determine the direction, scope, design, development, site management and debugging the lotus Notes based system which allows each person in the ministry to update and access information on communities.

John provided invaluable guidance to our committee on the possibilities and the effect of our decisions on the design of the system. This efficient and effortless process allowed the committee to basically wrap up the whole process of preliminary architecture in one day of meeting.

Through constant follow up with each of the committee members, John championed this project through IT in a manner that I have not seen before. I have been involved with other user developed applications and those projects took months where as, the community profile took days to implement.

I believe John's efforts should be recognized as a guide for new projects in the ministry
